INEC official disputes Buhari’s results in Asari-Toru LGA

The outcome of the presidential election results in Asari-Toru local government area of the Rivers State which president Buhari was said to have won has been disputed by the Electoral officer in charge of the area.

The Electoral officer, Clem Okomadu disputed the result presented by the Asari Toru Collation officer Steve Wordu, at the INEC state collation center Portharcourt.

According to Okomadu, the collation officer was not in sight during collation period as at the time presiding officers were returning, adding that all effort made to reach him proved abortive.

On his part, the collation officer for Asari Toru LGA, Steve Wordu, said that he had to leave the collation centre as a result of security challenges in the area.
