Buhari will defeat Atiku in South-South – Dakuku Peterside

Barely six days to the 2019 presidential election, President Muhammed Buhari, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been projected to defeat Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

This is the projection of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political Matters, Hon Gideon Samani, Delta APC leader, Chief Otega Emerhor and the Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr Dakuku Peterside.

They gave the verdict weekend at the inauguration of 4,000 Buhari Canvassers and 10 branded cars for the re-election of Buhari by the Mainstream Delta APC at the Grand Hotel Asaba, Tribune reports.

They warned that Nigeria must never be returned to the dark days of the PDP which, they averred, brought the country to her knees.

Samani noted that with the current support President Buhari commands in the region particularly in Delta, his victory is sure in the election.

He posited that the achievements recorded under the President Buhari-led administration are enough to ensure that he gets re-elected this Saturday.

While commending Emerhor for organising the 4, 000 Buhari Canvassers, he urged the canvassers to take the re-election campaign of Buhari to every home in the state to ensure that the APC Presidential candidate defeats his opponent in the forthcoming poll.

“I thank the organisers and canvassers for organising this door to door campaign in support of Buhari. We have a president that is very reliable and dependable.

“I want to say that Dakuku Peterside and Olorogun O’tega Emerhor have been so antagonized and blackmailed because of the Buhari agenda but they never relented.

“With what I have seen today in Delta State especially put together by Emerhor and the Mainstream Delta APC, Buhari will defeat Atiku.

“I am very sure that Buhari will score over 400,000 votes in next Saturday election. Buhari has worked and he would continue to work for the common good of all Nigerians unlike what PDP did in 16 years,” he noted.

The Director-General of NIMASA, Dakuku, who was elated with the mammoth crowd who thronged the event, said the people of Delta State and other parts of the Niger Delta had agreed to re-elect President Buhari for another four years.

He stated that Nigeria will never return to the hands of those whom, he said, had never wished the country well, adding that Nigeria is safe under Buhari.

According to him, “Emerhor was one of the few Nigerians who saw the light enough that President Buhari is the right person to rule this country.

“Today, we are glad that Buhari won in 2015, and he will win his re-election next week Saturday. We are happy that Buhari never disappointed the majority of Nigerians who voted for him.

“Let me say that these Buhari Canvassers which Emerhor has put together today (Saturday) with the support of the Mainstream Delta APC and with the commissioning of 10 cars to complement their work, we are going to replicate this laudable idea in Rivers State immediately.”

On his part, Olorogun Emerhor said “Deltans are here for a single mission of re-electing President Buhari for the second term come February 16th.

“We have just six days more to the campaign. If you look at the Delta in 2015, the PDP wrote results for the Delta APC and gave us (APC) 50, 000 votes. But this time it can never work. Buhari will win Delta State and Niger Delta squarely.

“We will use all the chairmen and supervisors to flood Delta state with Buhari campaign to get a minimum of 400, 000 votes from the 4000 canvassers.

“We don’t care what other people are doing but we must stand up to be counted and we have given this as a must do; and we will provide all canvassers everything needed to do the job including branded new cars for the door to door Campaign to make people know that Delta State belongs to Buhari.

“Therefore, we vow to win Delta State for Buhari come February 16th,” he enthused.

The event was attended by prominent APC leaders including Air Vice Marshal Frank Ajobena, Mrs Mariam Ali, Dr Cairo Ojougboh, factional APC chairman in the state, Chief Cyril Ogodo, Olorogun Ima Niboro, Chief Micheal Johnny, Chief Napoleon Gbinije and host of others.
