… Describes internal wrangling as unnecessary
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Etche local government area of Rivers State, Kingsley Akumefule, has called on all members of the All Progressives Congress in Etche local government area and Rivers State to discard all internal wrangling and form a common font in the battle to unseat Governor Wike.
Akumefule who is the leader of Ozuzu Kingdom pointed out that following the recent refusal of the Appeal Court to grant a stay of execution to Architect Tonye Cole, all seem clear for Senator Magnus Abe to become the authentic gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the 2019 elections coming up in March.
In an interview shortly after the appeal court sitting in Port Harcourt, Akumefule reiterated the party’s commitment towards reclaiming what he called “the stolen mandate by Governor Wike through Senator Magnus Abe”.
He further called on the entire Etche politicians to come together, unite to fight the battle ahead.
He said ” I want to call on all members of APC in Etche, irrespective of your political leaning or divide to come together and give your support to the candidature of Sen Magnus Abe… We are one family and we must realise that”
Furthermore, he thanked those who have remained in the struggle despite the challenges that have bedevilled the party.
He assured all of their rewards once the party takes over Brick House by May 29, 2019 but stressed that togetherness is essential to victory.
He said ” I can’t do without you, and vice versa. The fight is unnecessary and must be stopped forthwith”
