Breaking: Gunmen shoot down 2 at Waterlines

Unknown gunmen, yesterday afternoon, killed two persons at the popular waterlines junctions in Port Harcourt.

One person was shot dead at the spot while the second person died on the way to the hospital.

The gunmen were said to have trailed their victims from an unidentified location and shot them while waiting for traffic to decongest at waterlines.

Eyewitnesses told theportcitynews that the gunmen shot sporadically before escaping on their power bikes.

It could not be immediately ascertained whether the killings were political or cult-related.

The Rivers State Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni, told theportcitynews on the phone that one person was confirmed dead while the second victim was seriously injured.

He said that the police will leave no stone unturned in its quest to arrest the perpetrators of the ugly incident.
