Enyimba confident of victory against Raja Casablanca

By Ugochukwu Iwuchukwu

Two time African champions Enyimba fc of Aba will face an uphill task tonight in Morocco when they play Raja Casablanca today in the second leg semi-final tie of the Caf Confederation Cup.

Enyimba lost the first leg one in Aba and will be looking forward to upturn the deficit in Morocco.

The match will take place by 8pm Nigerian time.

No Nigerian club-side has won the tournament since its inception and the Aba based side is the second Nigeria team to reach the semi-final of the competition after Sunshine Stars of Akure achieved the same feat years ago.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa has been left out of today’s all-important CAF Confederation Cup semi-final second leg match at Raja Casablanca of Morocco.

Enyimba named Theophilus Afelokhai and Ghanaian Dauda Fatau as goalkeepers for the clash.

Ezenwa’s exclusion from today’s game poses a serious concern over the fitness and form of the Super Eagles second choice goal keeper.

Enyimba Technical Adviser Usman Abdallah says the team is still confident of picking up a victory in Casablanca.

He said the team’s experience on the continent will see them through tonight in Morocco.

Usman Abdallah stated that if Raja Casablanca can get a victory in Aba, then Enyimba can do the same in Morocco.

The Enyimba handler assured the fans that the club has been in this situation during the group stage of the competition and promise to do same this time around.

He, however, urge the fans to pray for the team as they continue their quest to win the CAF Confederation Cup title for the first time in their history.
