APC reacts to coalition by opposition parties

No coalition or gang up can make Nigeria’s governing party, the All Progressives Congress, APC waiver in its commitment to Nigeria.

The APC National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi said this in a press statement in reaction to the recent coalition of some opposition parties in Nigeria of which the Reformed APC was among.

last week, some aggrieved members of the APC came together to form a group called the Reformed APC and described themselves as a faction of the APC.

In the press statement, Mallam Abdullahi reiterated that the APC was not factionalised.

“We respect the right of everyone to join any association or group. However, we wish to reiterate that the so-called R-APC is not a faction of our Party. Our Party, the APC remains united under the leadership of our President, Muhammadu Buhari.

“It is also noteworthy that some political parties that have been named as signatories to the MoU have disassociated themselves from the publicised deal.”

The APC further reiterated its commitment to address grievances of “genuine” members.

“We call on them to take advantage of this opportunity while the windows for reconciliation are still open.

“We are confident that no level of gang-up can make our government under President Buhari to waiver in its promises to Nigerians to rid our country of corruption and improve the quality of lives for our people” APC said.
