2018 Rivers NBA Election: Barrister Sylvester Adaka in focus

On Friday, the first day of June 2018, the body of legal professionals in Port Harcourt will queue up to elect the next chairman of the association.

The campaign has been intense with candidates reaching out to lawyers and promising to serve with diligent attention.

Most lawyers say that they have one man in mind who they say they can attest to his integrity and his prior – tested abilities to place the bar where it rightfully belongs.

Theportcitynews.com ran into one of the candidates, Barrister Sylvester Adaka, the man many people have come to admire for his simplicity, as many lawyers have endorsed his candidacy, saying that he remains the best man for the job of Chairman NBA PH Branch.

Barrister Adaka said that his candidature arose as a result of the desire to correct many of the ills bedeviling the NBA, especially the welfare of lawyers, most especially junior lawyers.

Having practiced for 28 years, he said that he has garnered both the experience and the intellectual capability to uplift the PH Branch of the association, adding that he will carry everyone along to ensure a prosperous, effective and efficient NBA.

He equally maintained that when elected Chairman, he will rally the association to ensure that all forms of injustice and human right abuses are not condoned, noting that the bar has a role in ensuring that justice is done and on time too.

Barrister Adaka promised to run an outstanding & metropolitan bar that will reflect the dreams of the members of the PH Branch and the country in general in line with modern & best practices.
