Liverpool striker, Mohammed Salah, has confirmed that he will play at the next month’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Salah was injured during yesterday’s Champions League final against Real Madrid after he contested a ball with Madrid’s captain, Sergio Ramos, casting shadows over his World Cup appearance.
A teary Salah was substituted in the 30th minute of the match while his side will go on to lose 3 goals to 1 at stoppage time.
Several hours after the match ended with doubts cast over his ability to play in the next month’s World Cup in Russia, Salah twitted, saying he has confidence he will be in Russia to make his fans proud.
“It was a very tough night, but I’m a fighter. Despite the odds, I’m confident that I’ll be in Russia to make you all proud. Your love and support will give me the strength I need”
