CTC Chairman and NULGE Chairperson of Asari Toru Local Government in cold war over ‘no work, no pay’ policy

A cold war is brewing between the Caretaker Chairman of Asari-Toru local government area , Tubotamuno Dick, and the Chairperson of the National Union of Local Government Employees in the same local government , NULGE, Lolo Clifford, after the newly introduced “no work, no pay” policy by the Tubotamuno Dick led Caretaker Committee.

It will be recalled that on Wednesday, the NULGE Chairperson Lolo Clifford, locked the Council Secretariat with council workers staying at home in protest to this policy which has been described as anti-people.

But in a counter accusation on his Facebook page, Tubotamuno Dick, accused the NULGE Chairperson of opposing the policy because she doesn’t come to work despite being a health worker at the Minama community health center and only comes to the Council Secretariat to sell weavons.

This accusation has now attracted responses from both supporters of the CTC Chairman and NULGE Chairperson.
