Nigeria moves up on FIFA ranking

The Nigeria Super Eagles has moved up five places in the latest FIFA ranking released on Thursday.

Super Eagles moved from initial 52nd position to 47th in the world and to 6th place in Africa.

Fellow world cup campaigner Tunisia is Africa no 1 and is ranked 14 in the world with Senegal, DR Congo, Morocco and Egypt completing African top 5.

Nigeria’s opponent at the world cup Argentina is ranked 5th, Croatia 18th and Iceland 22nd.

The next ranking will come up on May 17th.
