Security agents said to be attached to the convoy of the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike’s, on Monday night, assaulted a driver while trying to beat traffic on the popular Ada George Road in Port Harcourt.

An eyewitness who spoke to Theportcitynews.com, said that she watched from her taxi as the incident unfolded and reports that they pounced on the driver.

The eye witness said that the security agents broke the driver’s eyes glass and threatened to shoot him for moving when the Governor’s convoy wanted to move, after they tried to clear the traffic so that the Governor could pass.

The victim’s car was in front of the Governor’s convoy, the eye witness said.

The victim, who said that he’s a soldier spoke after the incident. “They destroyed everything just because they’re carrying Governor or whatsoever.

They even entered my car, look at my baby, they rush force everybody, started threatening me, shooting gun, look at my leg they hit hit me with gun.

” I’m a gun carrier, but I don’t do this. I’m on my own I’m a soldier, they saw it. I was going to somewhere, nothing concerned me.

“I stopped here, I was normal in the queue, observing the traffic, they came and cleared the other way. I wasn’t going that way, before they started beating me”
