The flag-amachree-led executive has no legal rights to act on behalf of Rivers APC – Abe insists

Magnus Abe, the senator representing Rivers South-East Senatorial District in the National Assembly and governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, has reiterated his earlier position that the Ojukaye Flag-Amachree-led factional executive of the party has been voided by the Rivers State High Court.

Senator Abe also called on the people of Gokana in Gokana Local Government Area of the State and Ogoni at large to remain peaceful and law-abiding in the face of provocation as the Hon. Ojukaye Flagg-Amachree-led factional executive of the party organizes a rally in the area on Saturday.

He insisted that the Flagg-Amachree-led executive of the APC has been voided by the Court, adding that the faction has no legal right to speak or act on behalf of the APC in Rivers State.

The Senator, in a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Saturday and signed by his spokesperson, Parry Saroh Benson, said the move is a grand design instigated to provoke the peace-loving people of Gokana against themselves for selfish political gains.

The Senator said:”It has come to my notice that Ojukaye Flagg- Amachree-led factional executive, a group that has been voided by the Court is planning to hold a rally in Gokana today. I urge you all to ignore them as their efforts will yield no benefits.”

“This is a grand design by some unscrupulous politicians in the area to instigate violence amongst us. I, therefore, urge you to go about your normal business as no individual or group could stop a people whose time has come.”
